Quick Trace Rodding System

The Ritelite Quick Trace Rodding System has 2 copper wires in the rod which can be energised with a signal transmitter. The locator detects the frequency, allowing the entire buried utility to be traced and marked from above ground by one person.

The high quality Ritelite Quick Trace Rodding Systems provide 2 solutions in one product. They can be used as a standard fibreglass rodding system for cable / draw rope installation and as a traceable rodding system to identify duct/pipe runs or locate blockages.

To use as a trace rod push the rod along the duct as required or until a blockage or obstruction is met. Connect the positive side to the signal generator onto the rod terminal (at the point where it attaches to the reel). Connect the negative side to an earth stake (or other independent earth). The Trace Rod can then be traced along it’s complete length with a Cable Avoidance tool (CAT Receiver).

Suitable for use with most C.A.T and signal generator systems.
