Environmental and Climate Change Policy

Purpose

The Company recognises that climate change and environmental protection are significant global challenges that require action from governments, businesses and individuals. As a responsible business and user of finite resources, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our activities and contributing, where possible, to the wider effort to address climate change. We aim to do this through responsible management of our operations, continuous improvement in environmental performance and engagement with employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Our Commitments

The Company is committed to managing its environmental responsibilities responsibly and will:

  • Comply with all applicable environmental legislation and relevant codes of practice
  • Provide employees with appropriate information, instruction and training so that they can carry out their duties with due consideration for the environment
  • Seek to reduce environmental impact through the responsible use of energy, materials and other resources
  • Encourage the reduction, reuse and recycling of materials wherever possible
  • Consider environmental impact when developing products, processes and design standards
  • Work to minimise pollution and protect the natural environment
  • Encourage suppliers and contractors to adopt similar environmental standards and responsible practices
  • Support customers in using and disposing of products in an environmentally responsible way
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders, including the local community where appropriate, on environmental matters
  • Set environmental objectives and targets and review progress regularly
  • Continually improve environmental performance across our operations

Climate Change

The Company recognises the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to climate change mitigation where possible. We will seek to reduce emissions associated with our operations through responsible energy use, resource efficiency and sustainable business practices.

We will also encourage employees, suppliers and partners to consider the environmental impact of their activities and to adopt more sustainable behaviours wherever possible.

Responsibility and Review

The Managing Director has overall responsibility for ensuring that this policy is implemented and that appropriate resources are available to support its objectives.

All employees are expected to support the commitments outlined in this policy and to consider environmental impact in their day-to-day activities.

This policy will be reviewed annually and made publicly available on the Company website.
