Experienced Web Developer (WordPress) / PPC

Overall responsibilities and duties

As the company web developer you will be involved in all aspects of WordPress development. Daily tasks will include the creation, maintenance and customisation of the WordPress websites under the Ritelite umbrella.

You will also be responsible for devising and implementing PPC campaigns and strategies working with the Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for the day to day running and management of the company PPC campaigns, carrying out technical changes, analysing and drawing insight from third party analytics data.

Specific responsibilities and duties

  • To develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives for each company website
  • Work on strategies to enhance google positioning for all key products including identifying keywords.
  • Writing technical content for websites and keyword pages.
  • To manage PPC budgets in line with strategy and ensure that monthly spend is on target
  • To work with the marketing manager to produce reports for each site containing a description of monthly activity, suitable advice and recommendations and a clear summary of performance against the agreed key performance indicators and metrics.
  • To assist with design and writing of Marketing literature
  • To help design and plan social media campaigns

Qualifications and skills

You’ll need to be someone who is highly skilled, self motivated and able to work under pressure and manage project work load to ensure deadlines are met.

You should be:

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in WordPress theming and development, including; PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery.
  • Have a sound understanding of relational databases (mySQL)
  • Able to interact with web services and payment gateways
  • Preferably have at least 1 years experience of PPC management
  • Google Adwords fundamental certified.
  • Knowledgeable of Google Analytics and other third-party party analytics platforms.
  • Proficient with responsive design, development and ability to ensure all work is cross-browser tested and compatible.
  • Able to develop and deploy WordPress sites from custom PSD designs, adapted theme designs or design websites from scratch when required
  • Able to customise and add new functionality to existing sites.
  • Technically knowledgeable and have practical experience of maintaining and updating WordPress websites.
  • Passionate in your approach to your work that includes testing, writing semantic code and looking for new and innovative ways to constantly improve.
  • Able to communicate well.
  • Dependable and pay attention to deadlines and details.
  • Passionate to continue to develop skills and learn new technologies

The Role

Based from Stamford in Lincolnshire and with travel throughout the UK involved, the successful candidate will be managing existing accounts within the utilities industry and working to develop new business opportunities. You will be talking to many levels of customers from engineers to procurement managers and will be encouraged to come up with new product ideas to meet customers’ requirements. Full product training will be given and the role will have administration support.

Day to day roles include:

  • Meeting with potential and existing customers
  • Travelling to customer’s premises
  • Quoting for sales
  • Building repeat sales relationships where you are seen as the best at supporting customer needs and providing the best solution
  • Maintaining contact with customers throughout the entire sales process

With an excellent reputation for customer service and a long standing history of supplying lamps and lighting solutions to Industry, Ritelite (systems) Ltd runs a very busy sales team and has a vacancy within the Prolite Lamps department.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is part of a small and focused professional Sales team based in our Essendine office. Key responsibilities would include customer account management and development, order taking and processing and complaint handling and other customer service related duties.

We will be looking for the successful candidate to have good communication and team interaction skills, an excellent telephone manner and computer skills and be capable of working to their own initiative. Candidates should also have a flexible working approach.

The ideal candidate would have some experience of working in a Sales environment with a proven track record or have experience of working in a wholesale environment.

The opportunity exists for the right candidate to grow into a Business Development Manager.

The position is 40 hours per week. Hours are 8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
